1. About JUVESEN

Juvesen Health Pty Ltd ABN 69 608 000 639, trading as JUVESEN (“JUVESEN”, “we”, “us” or “our”), develops and supplies practitioner products through authorised wholesale and distribution channels, including the NutriScript practitioner portal.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request information or subscribe to JUVESEN communications.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address and telephone number;

  • your profession, clinic, practice or organisation;

  • your state, territory or country;

  • your areas of professional or scientific interest;

  • your communication preferences and consent records;

  • information you include in an enquiry or correspondence with us; and

  • basic website information such as browser type, pages visited, IP address and website analytics.

JUVESEN does not currently process practitioner orders, payments or deliveries through its own website. Those activities are handled through our authorised distributor or practitioner portal.

3. How we collect information

We generally collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • submit a website or enquiry form;

  • request a scientific review, practitioner resource or product information;

  • subscribe to updates;

  • communicate with us by email, telephone or social media;

  • attend a professional event or educational activity; or

  • otherwise provide your details voluntarily.

We may receive limited practitioner contact information from NutriScript or another authorised distributor where:

  • you have asked the distributor to refer your enquiry to us;

  • you have requested direct scientific or product support from JUVESEN; or

  • the information is reasonably required to respond to a practitioner enquiry.

4. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries;

  • provide requested scientific reviews, educational resources and product information;

  • send research, practitioner and product updates that you have requested or agreed to receive;

  • follow up with practitioners who have asked to be contacted;

  • liaise with NutriScript or another authorised distributor regarding a practitioner enquiry;

  • manage communication preferences and unsubscribe requests;

  • improve our website, resources and practitioner communications;

  • maintain appropriate business and consent records; and

  • comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless you consent or the use is otherwise permitted by law.

5. NutriScript practitioner portal

Products made available through the NutriScript practitioner portal are ordered and supplied through NutriScript.

Information that you provide directly to NutriScript—including practitioner account, order, payment and delivery information—is handled under NutriScript’s own privacy policy and terms.

JUVESEN may provide scientific reviews, practitioner education and product materials to NutriScript for publication through its portal. Providing those materials does not ordinarily require NutriScript to disclose practitioner personal information to JUVESEN.

Where you ask NutriScript to arrange direct follow-up from JUVESEN, limited contact and enquiry information may be provided to us for that purpose.

6. Practitioner and product communications

We may send you scientific, educational or product communications where you have requested the information, subscribed to updates or otherwise consented to receive them.

Communications from us will identify JUVESEN and provide a way to unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time by:

  • using the unsubscribe link in an email;

  • replying to an email with an unsubscribe request; or

  • contacting us at the email address below.

Unsubscribing from general updates will not prevent us from responding to a specific enquiry or sending information you have separately requested.

7. Patient and health information

JUVESEN does not provide individual clinical services and does not ordinarily require identifiable patient or health information.

Practitioners should not send us:

  • patient names or contact details;

  • medical records;

  • pathology reports; or

  • other information that could identify an individual patient.

General scientific or product questions should be provided without patient-identifying information.

If we receive sensitive or identifiable health information that we did not request, we will limit its use and take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it when it is no longer required.

8. When we disclose information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • authorised JUVESEN personnel and contractors;

  • NutriScript or another authorised distributor when required to respond to your request;

  • website, email, cloud-storage and information-technology providers;

  • accountants, lawyers and professional advisers; or

  • regulators, courts or government authorities where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We do not provide practitioner contact details to unrelated organisations for their own marketing without consent.

9. Website links, cookies and analytics

The JUVESEN website may contain links to NutriScript and other third-party websites. JUVESEN does not control the privacy practices of those websites, and their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Our website may use cookies and basic analytics to operate the website, understand how it is used and improve its content. Cookies can generally be controlled through your browser settings.

10. Overseas processing

Some website, email, cloud-storage or technology providers may process or store information outside Australia.

Depending on the services used, overseas recipients may be located in the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom or countries within the European Union.

We take reasonable steps to use reputable service providers and protect personal information handled on our behalf.

11. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

We may retain a limited record of an unsubscribe request so that we do not inadvertently contact that person again.
